A Street Party Like No Other

The Street Party Like No Other' is happening again in Bridgend Town Centre on Saturday 18th May.

This FREE festival has grown and promises to not disappoint as we MashUp yet again the  ARTS and SPORTS into one exiting whole day event managing to give adrenaline junkies their fix whilst still providing a fun filled day out for the family!

If you are a regular 'Masher' you should know that you can expect to be surprised as year by year we like to keep things fresh and unusual.

2013's event promises not to disappoint as the 'MashUp Makers' (people and businesses of the town) have pulled together like never before to create something truly awesome with loads of new high energy activities including river canoeing, abseiling, four dedicated stages to suit all tastes, rides for the kids, fashion shows, a superhero parade and loads more!

Bridgend is alive and kicking, so GetInvolved!

View the official grand opening spectacle starting 11am at Angel Street, Crown Building and finishing in front of Bridgend Music Store. It features Pencoed Climbing Club doing a spectacular speed abseil (about one minute) down the building wearing this year's prized Mashup T-shirt.
The T-shirt will then be passed to Andrew Cronin from Art In Movement that will take it in style into Town Centre and then hand it to professional BMX flatlander Matti Hemmings that will do a 15 minutes display in front of Bridgend Music Store, showing why he is a Guinness World Record holder! Finally the event will officially be declared open by Unforgettable Entertainment!

SKY 1 stars JUKEBOX will headline the Youthworks Stage with local legends COLOURS OF ONE headliningthe Hobos Stage in the day and then the evening blazes out with SMOKING HEARTS in Hobos and UNFORGETTABLE ENTERTAINMENT hosting an under 18s only dance event in the Brewery Field for all those with energy left.
